While taking the bowel preparation medication, please avoid consuming anything other than water (e.g., coffee, juice, gum, candy).

If your blood pressure is high at the time of your upper or lower endoscopy (performed under sedation), the procedure may not be possible.

If you are taking a single-ingredient blood pressure medication, please take it with two paper cups of water two hours before arriving at the clinic.

Please avoid taking medications containing ingredients such as aspirin, thrombolytics, blood circulation enhancers, or warfarin (heart medication) for approximately seven days.

(Please consult your attending physician regarding whether to discontinue these or any other medications you are currently taking.)

★ Information Regarding Endoscopy ★

- Up to age 70: Sedated endoscopy available

- Ages 71–75: Non-sedated endoscopy available

- Age 76 and older: Endoscopy not available

(Upper GI series/barium swallow available as an alternative to upper endoscopy)

If you have a history of surgery within the past 6 to 12 months, an endoscopy may not be possible.

Please inform us when making your appointment if you have a history of surgery.

Polyp removal may be performed during the colonoscopy.

As air travel is restricted for approximately two weeks following the procedure, please check your schedule before the exam

and adjust your selection of screening tests accordingly.

Please note that MRA and MRI scans may be difficult for individuals currently undergoing orthodontic treatment or wearing retainers; therefore, please check with the clinic where you received the procedure to confirm whether an MR scan is feasible.

If you are informed that it is not possible, please request a change to the examination items.

Dental implants are fine.

*Comprehensive Health Check-up: Takes 3.5 to 4 hours

(Duration may vary depending on the number of examinees on the day and the specific types and number of tests.)

*National Health Check-up: Takes 1.5 to 4 hours

- Additional time may be required if undergoing detailed examinations.

As waiting times tend to increase during the second half of the year, scheduling your appointment earlier will ensure a smoother and more comfortable experience. (We recommend weekdays—specifically Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.)

Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy

You must fast—including abstaining from water—for 8 hours prior to the scheduled examination time. The examination cannot be performed if there is residual food in your stomach.

Colonoscopy

You must take the colonoscopy preparation medication while following the dietary guidelines provided three days ago. If the colon is not properly cleansed, the examination cannot be performed.

※ Endoscopy cannot be performed while undergoing implant treatment (biting down on the mouthpiece could cause damage).
